League Table With a 5-2 win and 9 points against the Charlton 'A', the Rose & Crown Rejects take the Division Two title and gain promotion to Division One for next season, and despite losing their last match 4-3 to the Power Station Club, The Hope Chargers claim the Runners-Up spot to gain promotion with them. Congratulations to them on getting back to playing in the top Division next year. Both teams are now playing for the Charles Muller Memorial Shield, along with the Winners and Runners-Up from the First and Third Divisions. Ben Moseley from the Yacht Club team is the Division Two Player of the Year with 14 wins from his 16 games, as he didn't play a singles game in two of their matches, and will play-off with the Division One and Three winners for the Overall Player of the Year on Wednesday 22nd September at the Market Tavern. David Clayton from the Alma Inn team is the Division Two Captains Cup winner with 15 wins from his 18 games, and will play-off with the Division One and Three winners for the Overall Captains Cup on Sunday 26th September at the Charlton Hotel. The Bush Tavern finish in 10th place and will now do battle for the Graham Price Memorial Shield at The Hope Inn on Wednesday 29th September alongside the Watermans Arms and The Hope Mavericks. |
